Bluenose II Purchase a Gift Certificate

Bluenose II offers 2-hour cruises that will allow you to experience the beautiful Lunenburg waterfront and travel into the larger bay. Cruises will also take place in Halifax, NS. 

Pricing (taxes and fees included):

Children (3-12) - $45
(Youth under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

Before boarding, you will be required to attend a safety briefing and will learn about the vessel and its history.

During the cruise, when the crew is not busy, they welcome your questions and discussion. Sails will be set and struck, and you will experience the sounds, smells, and sights of sailing a traditional Grand Banks schooner.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations in order to receive a full refund. In the event that we must cancel the cruise due to poor weather or mechanical issues, you will receive a full refund.

Deckhand for a Day

Ever wonder what it would be like to crew on a tall ship for a day?
We offer you the chance to become crew for a day on Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador BLUENOSE II.

Sign-on at 8am at the Bluenose II Company Store, and return around 5-6pm to sign-off.

While sailing the beautiful islands around Mahone Bay, you will take your turn at the wheel, learn knots and splicing, and help anchor a 300-ton schooner. You will stand watch, keep a lookout and handle sail with the regular crew, and eat lunch belowdeck with the rest of your shipmates.

Before departure you will be given a safety orientation and a brief talk about the history of BLUENOSE by the crew.

Maximum participants is limited to 12-14 adults (must be 16 or older) and the cost is $850.00 all taxes included.

Please include your jacket & t-shirt size i.e. S, M, L, XL, XXL.
You will be given these items, plus a hat.
